It's not quite a musician to play that I am looking for, but I am in the information-gathering stage to find someone at the very least to master some music, and quite possibly to mix some as well.

Anyone have suggestions? The music in question is represented by what you'll hear at myspace.com/thebeaumondes, although there would be about four times as much. On one hand, it isn't a commercial venture, so I am not looking to work any miracles. On the other, the goal is to end up with something I'll leave alone as finished, as opposed to revisiting every other month.

I really have no idea as far as the time or cost it would require. Again, info-seeking. Recommendations would be very welcome.

Greg Reierson at Rare Form Mastering is who you want to talk to.

His studio is located in the same building as Copy Cats if you need a duplicator less than a hop, skip or jump away.

Greg does tons and tons of the stuff in MN (you probably listen to it all the time without realizing it.)

Tell him I sent you over when you contact him (but no, I don't get a kickback.) ;)

i couldn't agree more. Greg is the man! i wasted plenty of money on sub-standard mastering before i found him. i've done 2 projects with him and have been very happy.

Dave Gardner, bass player for Selby Tigers/Die Electric/Dynamiters, runs his own mastering studio, Magneto Mastering (http://www.magnetomastering.com). He has mastered both of my band's full-length records, in addition to numerous other bands' works over the years.
