We are currently in the process of hiring 1-2 interns to help us with marketing and advertising, here is the information. Please pass along to any college student that may be interested!

The marketing/advertising intern position is a part-time, unpaid internship with extremely flexible hours, and could be used for college credit. The internship will begin May 1 (or sooner, if possible) and run through the end of the summer; we expect the tasks assigned to require approximately 10-15 hours per week. Responsibilities of the internship include:

-Working directly with the Managing Editor and Assistant Editor of HowWasTheShow.com to design and develop an advertising campaign for the site.

-Initiating professional relationships with local music businesses that may wish to advertise on our site.

-Drafting advertising contracts and working with clients to ensure that the types and styles of advertisements align with the goals of the site.

-Designing and sending out a periodic electronic newsletter outlining site developments and upcoming shows and events.

We are looking for an intern who is self-motivated, energetic, and committed to helping the local music scene. Access to a computer and an internet connection are required, as this is a telecommuting position and work will be completed mostly from home. The ideal candidate would have a love for music and the local scene in addition to their education on marketing and advertising techniques.
