If I ever hear Thunder Road on a car commercial, I think I would crap my pants, shed a single tear and then go out and buy a Chevy.

Thanks for posting that. I found this article comparing and contrasting Westerberg and Ryan Adams.

I remember when Ryan had his meltdown at First Ave a few years ago, it was reported that, prior to the show, Westerberg said that Adams "should have his teeth kicked in". Apparently, this hurt Adams feelings, which may have been a catalyst for the meltdown.

I had a conversation with a member of a local band a few months back and he put it to me this way (and I paraphrase here): "This is my job. Wouldn't everyone want to make more money at their jobs, as long as it didn't involve something morally reprehensible? So people can bitch all they want, but basically what it is for me is a raise, and I would never bitch at anyone for doing a good enough job at work to receive one."

I agree. I may not be thrilled that Peter, Bjorn and John are selling Levi's, but they got a raise that week, so they did a good job.
