Anyone interested in doing a HWTS Twins/Saints baseball game event? Nick and I were talking about getting some people together for a Twins game, but a Saints game might be more up our alley -- drinking in the parking lot, deYoung's prowess on the grill, we can hang the banner and pass out buttons. I think it would be fun. Anyone else think so?

That definitely sounds fun, especially the grilling and handing out HWTS buttons. Woo!

Ohh . . . I love ball games. As a newbie I hate to sound like an overzealous tag-along, but I'm there depending on the date!

I'm most definitely there. Either/Or (Twins/Saints), but I think Rachac is right in thinking a Saints game would be a better choice.

Let me check the Saints schedule and pitch a couple of dates (after comparing it to the HWTS calendar, of course) and see if we can't cause a little mayhem St Paul style. Maybe coordinate it with a show at the Turf Club that night as well.

Here are some possible dates in August, with the promotion of the night attached:
8/10 (Thurs) -- Monopoly Night 8/11 (Fri) -- German Night 8/12 (Sat) -- Cooler Bag Night 8/24 (Thurs) -- VHS Demolition Night 8/25 (Fri) -- Lunchbox Giveaway 8/26 (Sat) -- Fireworks I gotta say, as much as German Night would be appealing (although I think I am way past being able to wear my lederhosen), the VHS Demolition Night would be a hoot. Twenty-five years ago, the White Sox (owned by Bill Veeck, father of Saints owner Mike Veeck) had a Disco Demolition night (dreamed up by Mike Veeck) that got so out of hand with fans trashing the field, that the Sox had to forfeit the game. Could lightning strike twice? Friday games are always good, and with my schedule, I could get out there early enough to secure a spot. Let me know if anyone else is up for it. |

We welcome all... Newbs, non-newbs... everyone needs a hot dog and a baseball game once in a while! If someone brings the grill, lights the coals, and tends to the meat, I will volunteer to grill veggie burgers/dogs/veg-kabobs for people who prefer their meat meatless. Later in August works best for me... |
