10/12/2008 Melismatics featuring Phil Solem at the Fine Line

I know we just had a Melismatics POTW when they played Lollapalooza back in August after winning the Last Band Standing contest, but they're just so awesome we had to do it again.

The Melismatics released their brand new album, The Acid Test with a party at the Fine Line Music Cafe in Minneapolis on Saturday night. The band closed with an all-star jam on Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the USA” and invited many of their friends on stage to sing and play including Phil Solem of the Rembrandts (blonde hair in foreground.) Also in this magnificent photo by Sara Montour of Beetour.net is Ryan Smith of the Melismatics (striped shirt at right).
