If you've perused the HowWasTheShow Forums recently or kept up with your local music media, you know that there are a few clubs in Minneapolis under scrutiny for noncompliance with their particular licenses. While we here at HowWasTheShow are all for filing the correct paperwork, we have to wonder - why now, Minneapolis?
The 331 Club and Kitty Cat Klub are the two most recent examples of clubs that, until this month, have provided the city with excellent, classy places to enjoy live and mostly local music with virtually no enforced restrictions. In order to comply with the new rules, both clubs are now prohibited from providing amplified music, which prompted Pert' Near Sandstone's J Lenz and bandmates to craft these aluminum amplifying devices for their recent show at the 331.
Hilarious? We think so.
