6/2/2007 Steeplejack Reunion at the 400 Bar

6/2/2007 Steeplejack Reunion at the 400 Bar
In more than just this writer's opinion, Steeplejack was one of the best bands in the Twin Cities during their heyday in the 1990s. Andy Sullivan has since moved to DC where he still writes and performs music.  (His single "The Internet is Changing Everything" won "Best Soundtrack" at the 48 Hour Film Festival). Ben Connelly has released several critically-acclaimed solo albums back here in Minnesota.  The two songwriters and guitar players joined forces Saturday night for a reunion show at the 400 Bar, playing new songs - including the Sullivan-penned "The Internet is Changing Everything" (aka "Alan Greenspan") - and reminded those in attendance just what great showmanship this band brought to Twin Cities stages back in the day.  In true Steeplejack style, the band closed with a fun-infused and proficient cover of Van Halen's "Dance The Night Away." As a bonus for fans, now that their record labels are out of business, Steeplejack has made all of their recordings available for free download on their website http://www.steeplejackmusic.com.
